Dementia Pathfinders delivers the following programmes

• OCNLR Level 2 Award in Awareness of Dementia

• OCNLR Level 3 Award in Awareness of Dementia

 

Purpose of the programmes

To enable individuals involved in supporting people with dementia to develop their knowledge and understanding of dementia and in particular those factors that influence interactions and communication with individuals who have dementia.

 

Format of the programmes

The programmes are delivered online and made up of a combination of webinars and online tutorials. After each training session learners will be given assessment tasks to complete in their own time. During webinars learners will be asked to take part in discussions and activities. Learners must attend all webinars to be able to complete the course.

 

Who should attend

Those who are currently involved in supporting individuals with dementia for example residential care workers, domiciliary care workers, healthcare assistants, support/key workers, first line supervisors and many other roles.

 

Further Information

The Awards at Level 2 and 3, can be commissioned by an organisation for delivery in-house.
